    2-AA is a superior replacement for 2-AB (2-aminobenzamide) in most types of complex glycan analysis. 2-AA is reported to have a higher fluorescence and gives higher labelling efficiencies than 2-AB.

    Please note that there are a number of different conditions described in the literature for glycan labelling with 2-AA. This kit uses the conditions used by Bigge et al (1995). Please contact us if you would like to use other labeling conditions.

    Kit Specifications
    One kit contains reagents to label up to 30 separate analytical samples per kit.
    Each kit contains two sets of the following reagents (15 samples per set) supplied in glass ampoules sealed under pure nitrogen:
    • 2-aminobenzoic acid (2-AA dye)
    • Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)
    • Acetic acid
    • Sodium cyanoborohydride

    Dye purity: > 99% by HPLC. Soluble in DMSO and ethanol.
    Molecular weight : 137 dalton
    Excitation wavelength: 320 nm
    Emission wavelength: 420 nm.
